Fall Line Cardigan
knitting pattern
A modern take on a classic silhouette, the Fall Line Cardigan is an open cardigan with a ribbed shawl collar and matching rib on the body and the sleeves. The more-ish, simple stitches knit in bouncy DK weight wool are the perfect balance of easy knitting, interesting and intuitive, just-one-more-row, knitting.
YARN WEIGHT: DK
NEEDLE SIZE: 4.5mm / US 7
GAUGE: 20 sts x 28 rows
construction
The cardigan is worked flat, from the top down, seamlessly working both the collar trim and the stockinette body at the same time with raglan style shaping. The decorative, traveling, 2-stitch cables separate the upper stockinette section of the cardigan with the 2×2 ribbing of the lower section. Sleeves are worked in the round with the same crossing stitch and ribbed pattern, which lines up perfectly with the body pattern.
Timeless design, intentional shaping, several options for sleeve fit and simple finishing means the Fall Line Cardigan will fit both you and your wardrobe perfectly!
Pattern includes shaping map and progress charts for each size, both written and charted stitch pattern with tutorials to match, construction overview and modification notes, finished garment measurements and schematic, and instructions for both straight and tapered sleeves.
